Bridging Science, Art, and Wellbeing

Who are we?

We support organisations, researchers, artists, charities, businesses and individuals to develop impactful and sustainable projects, secure funding, communicate complex ideas, and create meaningful change. Through consultancy, training, creative practice and one-to-one and group coaching, we help people and organisations unlock their potential, strengthen leadership, enhance wellbeing, foster innovation and bring ambitious ideas to life. A particular focus of InterART is behaviour change, translating evidence and professional expertise into sustainable changes in the way, people, businesses and organisations, think, feel and act.

Our work brings together expertise in research, health, creative practice, and professional development. By integrating evidence-based approaches with the power of storytelling, arts, behaviour change and lived experience, we support people and organisations to turn knowledge into sustainable action.

We are particularly interested in projects that support health, wellbeing, inclusion, and empowerment, working alongside communities whose voices and experiences are often overlooked or underrepresented.

Whether supporting a funding application, designing an arts and health initiative, developing a research project, or facilitating personal and professional growth, we believe that meaningful impact happens when rigorous thinking and human creativity work together.

Meet the Founder

Dr. Fenia Giannopoulou

Fenia is a mental health and wellbeing academic, researcher-storyteller, coach, and artist with 30 years' experience in research, higher education, and applied practice across Europe and the United States. She has held positions at institutions including Syracuse University (US), the University of Athens and Thorax Research Centre (Greece), the University of Strathclyde (Scotland) and the University of Brighton (UK). Her research and practice focus on lifestyle interventions—exercise, diet, and behaviour change—to prevent and treat chronic conditions such as obesity, type 2 diabetes, ageing-related morbidities and mental health disorders.

As a practitioner Fenia is a mindfulness and behaviour-change coach, narrative therapy counsellor, and specialist in narcissistic recovery, domestic abuse and trauma, and eating-disorder support. She is an experienced reviewer for the European Commission, assessing health and multidisciplinary research grants, and she consults with higher education bodies across Europe on programme development and review. Fenia also serves as an editor and expert consultant for journals including Nutrients, Frontiers in Nutrition, European Journal of Nutrition, and Preventive Medicine.

Fenia trained as a professional actress and has worked as a playwright, producer and director for more than 20 years. She is Artistic Director of tríada, an international theatre company based in Brighton that creates work on mental health, resilience and wellbeing. Recent plays include Her Raving Mind, She: Her Reverse and Two Chefs—projects that combine artistic practice with trauma-informed storytelling.

Fenia’s distinct strength is integrating science and art to design multidisciplinary solutions that promote health, wellbeing and social impact. Drawing on a background of exercise, nutrition, health, behavioural science and art, her work focuses not only on what people need to know, but on what helps them change and sustain their behaviour. Her consultancy blends rigorous research, creative practice and coaching to develop practical, humane and innovative programmes for individuals, organisations and communities.
